At the root of surfing and its core, exploration is the reason for its existence. Whether it’s the first person who decided to explore the sensation of standing up on a wave or the way William Finnegan set out to find new ones in the wildest of places. Perhaps that's why we all become obsessive over it. The feeling of something new. A new wave, new place, new culture, new experiences, all of it driving for us to get to the next adventure.

There are far and few places yet to be discovered nowadays, but that doesn’t mean you don't have the right to discover something in your own way. For us that was a trip to Way Out West. The land of tequila water, spicy tacos, and spicier rights. A pilgrimage that most surf core lords must take in their life. How far can 50 bucks, high school spanish, and a dinged up fish get you? Here? Aqui? As far as you want.

A Mexican point break is the only thing I know as sweet as a Mezcalita, I’ll take two of each. We spent sunrise every morning chasing off shores, with cold feet in the sand and a warm core beneath our clean lines hoodie. Reflecting the sight for sore eyes. We escape from the northeast winters  for less cold and more waves. Discovering what we needed from it comes along the way.  The real treat is who you’re with and what you find. Always exploring, always looking for more. What’s next? That’s for you to find out.
