For round two of our ROOTS series, we linked up with John, Jake and Cheyne DeSousa at the local stretch of beach they’ve been holding down for generations. As a grom, I’m sure most would agree, when taking the walk down Lowenstein Court to the boardwalk, you always wondered (or nervously anticipated) if the top dogs were out in the lineup, Johnny D being one of them. His love for this particular stretch of beach has been passed down to his sons and when Cheyne is not flying high above the clouds as a pilot for Delta Airlines, he can often be found right here, cracking jokes and greeting folks with that big smile.
