WHALEBONE x Relix
Born on the New York coast and the New York stage, both Whalebone and Relix have built worlds around connection. For Relix, that connection started in 1974 as a fan newsletter for Grateful Dead tape traders- a humble passion project that’s since evolved into one of the longest-running and most respected music media outlets in the world. For Whalebone, it started in an old ice house in Montauk, with hand-printed tees and a belief that comfort, creativity, and community belong together.
Five decades later, those worlds collide in a limited-edition collection celebrating the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary- launching alongside Relix’s commemorative book filled with never-before-seen photos, essays, and memorabilia honoring the band’s legendary legacy.
The designs take cues from the Dead’s iconic imagery and Whalebone’s signature coastal graphics- a playful meeting point between sea and sound, where sun-faded tees meet tie-dye soul.
